The Kokomo Jackrabbits (13-12) beat the Butler BlueSox (12-13) 5-4 but needed 16 innings to do so on Thursday at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.
With the score tied at four, Griffin Harms came to the plate and doubled, scoring Mitch Stoltzfus.
Stoltzfus racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Trey Bickel pitched lights out for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. The Butler BlueSox managed just two hits off of the the Kokomo Jackrabbits' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work.
Matthew Ulrich improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Ulrich struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.
Shawn Holman (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
