The Champion City Kings (9-16) needed 11 innings on Thursday to take down the Terre Haute Rex (14-11) 5-4 at Bob Warn Field.

With the score tied at four,, scoring Jett Swetland.

Cale Dineen was hot from the plate for the Champion City Kings. Dineen went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

Andy Fisher pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

A bright spot for the Terre Haute Rex in the defeat was Mark Finkelnburg, who allowed only three runs while striking out 10.

Taylor Kopplin improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Champion City Kings. Kopplin struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Thomas Waning (3-3) took the loss for the Terre Haute Rex. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
