An outstanding effort by Brian Hobbie carried the Terre Haute Rex (14-10) to a 7-5 win over the Champion City Kings on Wednesday at Bob Warn Field.
Hobbie held the Champion City Kings (8-16) scoreless for eight innings. Hobbie struck out four and allowed two walks and three hits.
Niko Decolati got a hit in each of his five at bats. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and sixth innings.
Adam Vasil racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Champion City Kings. He singled in the eighth inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Jordan Norton (1-3) took the loss for the Champion City Kings. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
