Michael Nielsen went 1-4 and hit a home run, helping the Quincy Gems (13-10) to a 3-2 victory over the DuPage Drones (12-10) on Sunday at Quincy Stadium.

Cameron Sanders had an impressive outing against the DuPage Drones' lineup. The DuPage Drones managed just two hits off of Sanders, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out six during his six innings of work.

A bright spot for the DuPage Drones in the defeat was Cody Smith, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Nicholas Benedetto (2-1) took the loss for the DuPage Drones. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
