A walk-off double from Jake Anchia brought home the winning run for the DuPage Drones (9-8) in a 6-5 victory over the Terre Haute Rex (9-9) at Benedictine Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Anchia racked up two RBIs on two hits for the DuPage Drones. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
It was a good day at the plate for the DuPage Drones' Brad Hartman. Hartman went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.
Brian Hobbie held the DuPage Drones scoreless for six innings. Hobbie struck out one and allowed no walks and three hits.
Sean Frontzak improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the DuPage Drones. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Thomas Waning ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
