Jake Haberer held the Hannibal Cavemen (7-11) scoreless for six innings to boost the Quincy Gems (11-8) to a 2-1 victory.

Haberer allowed one hit, four walks and struck out six.

Deion Thompson had a hot bat for the Quincy Gems. Thompson went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Dalton Overstreet couldn't get it done on the bump for the Hannibal Cavemen, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked six, struck out two, and allowed one run.
