The Quincy Gems outdone by Gorski and the DuPage Drones, 6-4

The DuPage Drones (12-10) beat the Quincy Gems (13-10) 6-4 on Tuesday at Benedictine Sports Complex behind Richie Gorski, who had two extra base hits.

He singled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and tripled in the fifth inning.

Keven Long struck out eight, paving the way for a the DuPage Drones win. Long allowed one earned run on two hits and three walks over six innings.

A bright spot for the Quincy Gems in the defeat was Cameron Sanders, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Mitch Carriger got on base three times in the game for the Quincy Gems. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Alex Ruxlow couldn't get it done on the bump for the Quincy Gems, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
