Matt Elliott collected three hits as the DuPage Drones (5-6) took home a 5-1 victory over the Chillicothe Paints (3-9) at VA Memorial Stadium on Thursday.
He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.Brent Mattson's five strikeouts were enough to push the DuPage Drones past the Chillicothe Paints. Mattson allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk over six innings.
Derek Moore ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
