A superb effort by Michael Klein spurred the Terre Haute Rex (8-5) to a 7-6 win over the West Virginia Miners (7-6) on Thursday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.

Klein blasted two home runs for the Terre Haute Rex. Klein went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Klein homered in the second and eighth innings.

Austin Norman racked up two RBIs on two hits for the West Virginia Miners. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Damon Olds got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over three innings. Olds struck out five, walked one and gave up two hits.

Brandon Stuckenschneider was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
