An RBI double by Logan Barnes, an RBI single by Caleb Stayton, and a two-run home run by Ryan Hutchinson during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Kokomo Jackrabbits.Stayton led the Kokomo Jackrabbits' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI.
Trey Bickel had an impressive outing against the Quincy Gems' lineup. The Quincy Gems managed just one hit off of Bickel, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
Mitch Carriger was solid at the plate for the Quincy Gems. Carriger went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
Ryne Underwood recorded his first win of the year for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Underwood struck out three, walked one and gave up one hit.
