Logan Barnes was cold coming off the bench, but Barnes warmed up quickly as Barnes stroked a key pinch-hit double in the five to lead the Kokomo Jackrabbits (5-6) to a 5-1 win over the Springfield Sliders (5-4) on Tuesday at Robin Roberts Field.

With the score tied at one, Barnes came to the plate and doubled.

Alex Del Rio put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

The Springfield Sliders had no answer for Sam Hubbe, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Hubbe held the Springfield Sliders hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Josh Peterson (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
