Sullivan's walk-off single send the Butler BlueSox home winners, 5-4

A walk-off single from Tyler Sullivan brought home the winning run for the Butler BlueSox (3-3) in a 5-4 victory over the Chillicothe Paints at Kelly Automotive Park on Wednesday.

Sullivan led the Butler BlueSox's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third and ninth innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Butler BlueSox's Tyler Niemann. Niemann went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the seventh inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Connor Coward baffled the Chillicothe Paints (2-4), striking out seven batters. Coward allowed two earned runs, three hits and two walks over six innings.

Jack Thompson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He singled in the fifth innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Zachary Patterson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Patterson struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

David Current (0-1) took the loss for the Chillicothe Paints. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
