The West Virginia Miners scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Chris Metrick, a two-run double by Colby Dishmond, an RBI triple by Tanner Levine, an RBI single by Tyler Rowe, and a two-run triple by Nick Delgado.
Levine put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the West Virginia Miners.
Jacob Belinda racked up 12 strikeouts in the the West Virginia Miners win. Belinda allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks over six innings.
Taylor Kopplin couldn't get it done on the hill for the Champion City Kings (2-4), taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
