The Danville Dans (2-1) beat the DuPage Drones (2-2) 3-1 on Saturday at Benedictine Sports Complex behind Michael Bainbridge, who went 1-4 and hit a home run.

The DuPage Drones had no answer for Trent Johnson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Johnson gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Grant Mayeaux improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Danville Dans. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Keven Long was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
