Liam OSullivan kept the Schaumburg Boomers (16-15) off the board during his six innings of work and the Joliet Slammers (18-14) beat the Schaumburg Boomers, 9-0.
OSullivan allowed three hits, four walks and struck out five.
Seven runs in the first three innings helped the Joliet Slammers blow out the Schaumburg Boomers. An RBI double by Boo Vazquez and a sacrifice fly by Carter Bell during the first inning and an RBI double by Phillip Bates in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Joliet Slammers.
The Joliet Slammers were led by Vazquez's hitting. Vazquez went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run.
Seth Webster couldn't get it done on the hill for the Schaumburg Boomers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
