The Evansville Otters make the most of 7 hits in 3-2 victory over the Normal CornBelters

The Evansville Otters (15-9) and the Normal CornBelters (9-14) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Evansville Otters that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-2 win at Bosse Field.

Kaeo Aliviado had two extra-base hits for the Evansville Otters. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Ken Frosch had an impressive outing against the Normal CornBelters' lineup. The Normal CornBelters managed just one hit off of the the Evansville Otters' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Normal CornBelters' Michael Schweiss dominated the Evansville Otters' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Tyler Thompson recorded his second win of the year for the Evansville Otters. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Horacio Acosta (1-1) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
