The Joliet Slammers make the most of 8 hits in 5-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers

The Joliet Slammers (12-11) and the Lake Erie Crushers (12-8) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Joliet Slammers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-2 win at Silver Cross Field.

Marc Flores racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the eighth innings.

Liam OSullivan's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Joliet Slammers past the Lake Erie Crushers. OSullivan allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk over eight innings.

Connor Oliver did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Crushers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Jordan Kraus was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
