The Florence Freedom (7-13) beat the Traverse City Beach Bums (7-13) 5-3 on Sunday at UC Health Stadium behind Josh Henderson, who had three extra base hits.

Jeremy Gooding's 10 strikeouts were enough to push the Florence Freedom past the Traverse City Beach Bums. Gooding allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over eight innings.

Jose Vargas was hot from the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Vargas went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Jacob Lanning was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

The Florence Freedom's Taylor Oldham, Henderson, Isaac Wenrich and Travis Weaver combined for eight hits and three RBIs.
