Christopher Riopedre drove in three runs as the Evansville Otters (14-7) took home a 7-5 victory over the Washington Wild Things (9-10) at CONSOL Energy Park on Saturday.
He singled in the fifth and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.Max Duval struck out nine hitters en route to the the Evansville Otters win. Duval allowed four earned runs, four hits and two walks over seven innings.
The Evansville Otters couldn't get anything going as long as Luke Wilkins was pitching. The Evansville Otters managed just three hits off of Wilkins, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Brandon Hinkle (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
