A walk-off single from Tim Zier brought home the winning run for the Windy City ThunderBolts (10-3) in an 8-7 victory over the Joliet Slammers (7-7) in 13 innings at Standard Bank Stadium on Friday.

Zier racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the thirteenth inning.

Ransom LaLonde was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. LaLonde went 4-6 and scored four runs. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the third, sixth, and thirteenth innings.

Brandon Boyle recorded his third win of the year for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Kevin McNorton (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
