Brandon Hinkle held the Schaumburg Boomers (3-11) scoreless for six innings to boost the Washington Wild Things (8-5) to a 5-0 victory.

Hinkle struck out four and allowed one walk and five hits.

Bryan Haar had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third inning and tripled in the sixth innings.

Brett Mabry was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
