The Florence Freedom (3-6) and the Evansville Otters (5-4) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Florence Freedom that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-5 win at Bosse Field.

Austin Newell racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Stetson Nelson handled the Evansville Otters' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Nelson allowed no earned runs, three hits and three walks over four innings.

Josh Allen got on base four times in the game for the Evansville Otters. He singled in the first and sixth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Andrew Millner got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Millner struck out none, walked two and gave up one hit.

Brody Greer (0-1) took the loss for the Evansville Otters. He lasted just zero innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
