The Gateway Grizzlies (4-5) built an early edge on Sunday, but the River City Rascals (5-3) roared back to steal a 5-2 victory at CarShield Field .

While the Gateway Grizzlies led until the fifth inning, the River City Rascals worked their way back and took the lead on a solo home run by Clint Freeman.

The River City Rascals were led by Dominique Taylor's hitting. Taylor went 3-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Josh Wright pitched lights out for the River City Rascals. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just three hits off of the the River City Rascals' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Dakota Smith couldn't get it done on the mound for the Gateway Grizzlies, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
