It took 10 innings, but the Joliet Slammers (11-11) managed to put away the Traverse City Beach Bums (7-13) 6-5 on Saturday at Wuerfel Park.

Kevin McNorton got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed one run over two innings. McNorton struck out one, walked none and gave up four hits.

Luke Barker couldn't get it done on the mound for the Traverse City Beach Bums, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
