Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Washington Wild Things make the most of 4 hits in 4-3 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies

Story by Narrative Science.

The Washington Wild Things (1-0) and the Gateway Grizzlies (0-1) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Washington Wild Things that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at GCS Ballpark.

Trevor Foss picked up the win for the Washington Wild Things. Foss pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out two.

The Washington Wild Things couldn't get anything going as long as Adam Eggnatz was pitching. Eggnatz held the Washington Wild Things hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Trevor Richards ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
