An excellent effort by Jorge Lozano hoisted the Xenia Scouts (26-13) to a 2-1 win over the Hamilton Joes (24-15) on Friday at Gradys Field.
Lozano struck out eight hitters en route to the the Xenia Scouts win. Lozano allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks over nine innings.
Dane Tofteland did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Hamilton Joes, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.
Alex Cain put together a nice outing. The Xenia Scouts managed just two hits off of the the Hamilton Joes' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Chase Antle (4-1) took the loss for the Hamilton Joes. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
