A walk-off from Chandler Adkins brought home the winning run for the Xenia Scouts (23-12) in a 2-1 victory over the S Ohio Copperheads (18-16) in 12 innings at Gradys Field on Monday.
Adkins reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning.
John Sharpe went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Xenia Scouts. He tripled in the tenth inning and singled in the first, third, and twelfth innings.
Walter Rook IV got the win, running his season record to 4-1. Rook IV struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Riley OBrien was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed no runs.
