Evan McDonald went 1-2, sparking the Xenia Scouts (16-8) to a 3-2 victory in seven innings over the Cincinnati Steam (14-9) on Thursday at Gradys Field.

Jorge Lozano brought the heat against the Cincinnati Steam during his outing. The Cincinnati Steam managed just three hits off of the the Xenia Scouts' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Jake Richmond reached base two times in the game for the Cincinnati Steam. He also drove in one runner. He tripled in the third inning.

Daron Bowling ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
