Dane Tofteland hit two home runs to carry the Hamilton Joes (27-15) to a 28-8 win over the Cincinnati Steam (23-19) at McLeary Fld (Western Hills HS).

Tofteland racked up six RBIs on five hits for the Hamilton Joes. He homered in the first inning, singled in the second and third innings, and doubled in the eighth inning.

Tyler Thamann delivered a big hit off the bench in the two.. His pinch-hit double was the key moment in the Hamilton Joes' 20-run win.

With the Hamilton Joes leading by one, Thamann came to the plate and doubled, scoring Kaleb King.

Thamann had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 36 runs and 44 hits, including zero extra base hits. There were 11 pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

The Hamilton Joes didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Hamilton Joes scored 10 runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win.

Danny Hentz improved to 5-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Hamilton Joes. Hentz struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Cole Murphy was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.

The Hamilton Joes pounded the Cincinnati Steam pitching, as seven hitters combined for 25 hits, 22 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
