The bats were busy at Reds Urban Youth Acad (Roselawn on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the Cincinnati Steam (12-4) had a 12-8 win over the S Ohio Copperheads (7-10).

The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.

Jake Richmond racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Cincinnati Steam. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth innings.

Brad Baldwin got on base four times in the game for the S Ohio Copperheads. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first innings.

Even though Daron Bowling allowed five runs over 6 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Bowling struck out none, walked two and gave up 10 hits.

Chase Hagerty was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
