Kyle Orloff went 2-4, helping the Cincinnati Steam (2-0) to a 5-2 victory over the Licking County Settlers (0-2) on Friday at McLeary Fld (Western Hills HS).

Tristan Hammans got the win for the Cincinnati Steam thanks to three strikeouts. The Cincinnati Steam's pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

Mason McClellan had two extra-base hits for the Licking County Settlers. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Nate Schweers pitched lights out for the Licking County Settlers. The Cincinnati Steam managed just one hit off of Schweers, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Cody Maw (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
