Adam Cornwell kept the S Ohio Copperheads (20-22) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Richmond Jazz (12-29) beat the S Ohio Copperheads, 4-3.

Cornwell allowed five hits, two walks and struck out six.

Brennan Laird paced the Richmond Jazz at the plate. Laird went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Tyler Straley (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
