The Richmond Jazz (9-25) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Xenia Scouts (23-12) dominated in an 8-2 win at McBride Stadium.

The Xenia Scouts scored two runs in the eighth on the Xenia Scouts scored in the eighth on a solo home run by Adrian Marquez and an RBI single by John Sharpe.

Ryan OHearn got on base four times in the game for the Xenia Scouts. He singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Marquez brought the heat against the Richmond Jazz during his outing. Marquez held the Richmond Jazz hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Adrian Peraza recorded his first win of the year for the Xenia Scouts. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered six hits.

John Troll was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out two.
