Jake Vernon hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Richmond Jazz (10-26) to a win on Sunday, as the Richmond Jazz fell to the Hamilton Joes (24-13) 15-6 at McBride Stadium.

The Hamilton Joes blew out the Richmond Jazz thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. And a three-run double by Kaleb King helped the Hamilton Joes score four runs in the seventh. The Hamilton Joes had two hits in the inning.

Dane Tofteland racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Hamilton Joes. He homered in the fifth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Even though Ben Havel allowed five runs over four innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. He struck out one, walked four and surrendered five hits.

Kyle Shepherd was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out two.

The Hamilton Joes hammered the Richmond Jazz pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 13 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
