The Grand Lake Mariners (10-4) used a three-run explosion in the eighth inning to get past the Richmond Jazz (3-12) 10-4 on Tuesday at McBride Stadium.

The Grand Lake Mariners scored in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Justin Mercer, an RBI single by Thomas Lindeman, an error, and a sacrifice fly by Noah Sadler.

Tyler Webster racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Grand Lake Mariners. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth innings.

Mathew Hudson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Hudson struck out five, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Bryce Pennington ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked four and struck out three.
