The Irish Hills Leprechauns (16-14) jumped on the Grand Lake Mariners (16-14) early on their way to a 6-4 win on Friday at Siena Heights University, scoring six runs in the first inning.

The Irish Hills Leprechauns scored in the first on an RBI double by Jack Clark, an RBI single by Justin Kelly, a three-run triple by Christopher Stewart, and a sacrifice fly by Casey Gose.

Stewart racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Irish Hills Leprechauns.

Brandon Phelps kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Grand Lake Mariners batters. Phelps allowed one earned run on four hits and four walks over seven innings.

Mathew Hudson (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out four.
