Tanner Burns collected three hits, sparking the Licking County Settlers (20-18) to a 3-2 victory in eight innings over the S Ohio Copperheads (20-19) on Thursday at Bob Wren Stadium.

The S Ohio Copperheads couldn't get anything going so long as Joe McGuire was on the hill. The S Ohio Copperheads managed just one hit off of the the Licking County Settlers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Connor Callery reached base three times in the game for the S Ohio Copperheads. He singled in the first and seventh innings.

Brett Kiser improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Licking County Settlers. He allowed one run over four innings. Kiser struck out seven, walked three and gave up two hits.

Roscoe Blackburn (4-2) took the loss for the S Ohio Copperheads. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
