The Licking County Settlers (15-11) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Richmond Jazz (8-17) on Friday.

The Richmond Jazz took the lead in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Bobby Thompson.

Joe Pourier racked up 10 strikeouts in the the Richmond Jazz win. Pourier allowed one earned run, four hits and six walks over seven innings.

The Richmond Jazz had no answer for Jason Hall, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Hall held the Richmond Jazz hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Cody Maw (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
