Kyle Hubbuch went 2-4, sparking the Licking County Settlers (11-10) to a 5-0 victory over the Xenia Scouts (12-7) on Monday at Don Edwards Stadium.
He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.Phillip Piesko brought the heat against the Xenia Scouts during his outing. The Xenia Scouts managed just one hit off of Piesko, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his four innings of work.
Jason Hall improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Licking County Settlers. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Kyle Brunner (1-1) took the loss for the Xenia Scouts. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
