Hunter Nance went 2-4, helping the Licking County Settlers (7-9) to a 4-2 victory over the Galion Graders (4-13) on Wednesday at Don Edwards Stadium.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.Phillip Piesko had an impressive outing against the Galion Graders' lineup. Piesko held the Galion Graders hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Robert Jones racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Galion Graders. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.
Kaleb Kirk improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Licking County Settlers. He allowed two runs over six innings. Kirk struck out three, walked none and gave up seven hits.
Jake Stout (0-3) took the loss for the Galion Graders. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
