Tanner Burns collected three hits, sparking the Licking County Settlers (6-9) to an 8-5 victory over the Galion Graders (4-12) on Tuesday at Don Edwards Stadium.
He singled in the first, fourth, and eighth innings.Riley Campbell was hot from the plate for the Galion Graders. Campbell went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Brett Kiser improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Licking County Settlers. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Curtis Irving was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
