The Hamilton Joes (4-0) took down the Licking County Settlers 7-1 on Wednesday at Don Edwards Stadium after slamming the Licking County Settlers (0-4) with five runs in the second inning.

The Hamilton Joes scored in the second on an error, a two-run single by Nick Weybright, a single by Tyler Thamann, and a fielder's choice.

Bryson Shelton was solid at the plate for the Hamilton Joes. Shelton went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second and third innings.

Chase Antle pitched lights out for the Hamilton Joes. The Licking County Settlers managed just three hits off of the the Hamilton Joes' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Kaleb Kirk was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out five.
