A walk-off sacrifice fly from Sammy Stevens brought home the winning run for the Lake Erie Monarchs (6-12) in a 2-1 victory over the Irish Hills Leprechauns (9-9) at Flat Rock Field on Friday.
Stevens racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He singled in the second inning.
Devin Peters pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out four.
Jordan Grosjean allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four over eight innings of work.
Chandler Raiden recorded his first win of the year for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Grosjean (2-1) took the loss for the Irish Hills Leprechauns.
