Seventh-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Lima Locos, 10-4

The Lima Locos (3-2) beat the Lake Erie Monarchs 10-4 on Saturday at Flat Rock Field after a six-run explosion in the seventh inning.

The Lima Locos scored in the seventh on a single by Colin Stolly, an error, , , a single by DayFran Ortiz, , and a double by Jacob Barnwell.

Barnwell racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Lima Locos.

The Lake Erie Monarchs (3-4) had no answer for David Nicholas Spear, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Nicholas Spear held the Lake Erie Monarchs hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Maverick Prine racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Cas Silber improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lima Locos. He allowed three runs over six innings. Silber struck out six, walked three and gave up five hits.

Kyle Van Hoeck ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
