The Lima Locos get key pinch-hit in 7-6 victory over the Grand Lake Mariners

Andrew Reeves was cold coming off the bench, but Reeves warmed up quickly as Reeves stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the Lima Locos (22-10) to a 7-6 win over the Grand Lake Mariners (17-15) on Monday at Simmons Field.

With the score tied at six, Reeves came to the plate and singled.

The Grand Lake Mariners had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the Lima Locos. The Grand Lake Mariners were ahead until the fourth inning, but the Lima Locos would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a three-run home run by Kevin Woodall Jr.

Woodall Jr racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lima Locos. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Reeves improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lima Locos. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Gary Clift (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
