A great day by Connor Curlis wasn't enough to carry the Lima Locos (19-9) to a win on Monday, as the Lima Locos fell to the Galion Graders (7-21) 9-7 at Simmons Field.
The Galion Graders' lineup had no answer for Curlis. The Galion Graders managed just one hit off of the the Lima Locos' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Evan Lee racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Galion Graders. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
AJ Cecil improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Galion Graders. Cecil struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
David Nicholas Spear ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
