Cas Silber hopes every outing could go as well as Friday, as Silber threw a shutout to carry the Lima Locos (8-3) to a 17-0 victory over the Galion Graders (3-9) at Simmons Field.
Silber held the Galion Graders scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out five.
Six runs in the first three innings helped the Lima Locos blow out the Galion Graders. An RBI single by Jason Sullivan and an RBI single by Jared Nixon in the first inning and a two-run double by Logan Quimuyog, an RBI single by DayFran Ortiz, and an RBI single by Sullivan during the second inning helped the Lima Locos put some runs on the board early.
Sullivan racked up four RBIs on five hits for the Lima Locos.
Jake Stout (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out three.
