The Galion Graders (2-6) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-1 ballgame against the Grand Lake Mariners (6-0) on Sunday at Montgomery Fld (Eastview Pk).
While the Galion Graders led until the seventh inning, the Grand Lake Mariners worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run single by Billy Sager.
Joseph Filosa picked up the win for the Grand Lake Mariners. Filosa pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, nine hits and no walks while striking out six.
Mark Delas (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
