Conner Henderson went 1-3, helping the Grand Lake Mariners (3-0) to a 5-4 victory over the Lake Erie Monarchs (3-2) on Thursday at Montgomery Fld (Eastview Pk).

Michael Magdziarz pitched lights out for the Grand Lake Mariners. Magdziarz held the Lake Erie Monarchs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Ross Haffey racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Chandler Stahl improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Grand Lake Mariners. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Antonio Jacobs ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
