Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Irish Hills Leprechauns (22-20) outscored the Lorain County Ironmen (17-25) 12-8.
The two teams combined for 32 hits in the game.
Kendall King racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Irish Hills Leprechauns. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.
Matthew Malkin racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lorain County Ironmen. He doubled in the second inning, singled in the seventh inning, and homered in the eighth innings.
Even though Grant Peters allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. Peters struck out five, walked six and gave up nine hits.
Cameron Fuller was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
The Irish Hills Leprechauns hammered the Lorain County Ironmen pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 19 hits, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
